Race Results

The 9th Annual P.C.T.R (Pleasant Creek Trail Run), brought to you by the Eastern Iowa Trail Alliance (a 501(C)(3) non-profit), will take place Saturday, September 9th, 2023. There are 3 races; 15K, 30K, 45K. The 45K and 30K will start at 7:30am, the 15K at 8:00am. Come see what this beautiful park has to offer! Plus we want you to join us for a post-race cookout and beverages beginning at ~10am

Parking: follow instructions from volunteers to the Pleasant Creek Beach grass field – DO NOT park on grass in any other area

Awards: Top (1) Female/Male finishers in each distance will receive awards

In addition, the top three (3) Female/Male finishers in the following age groups will receive awards

30-45

*** The top finishers are not eligible for age group awards

Cash prize payout (plus free registration to next year) to top male/female overall winners.

Course Description

P.C.T.R will be run on Pleasant Creek’s outer loop of the equestrian trail (the loop is 15K in distance). The race will start near the playground park area north of the beach parking lot.

All distances will run counter-clockwise this year and will exit the trail at the same location you enter to return to the start / finish line for each loop (i.e. you will return to the start to begin each subsequent loop).

The course consists primarily of dirt and grass trails with small water crossings possible. The course has rolling hills but has produced some fast times. Please, no strollers or pets are allowed on the course.

All are welcome to the park and to stay for post-race activities.

Registration Details

Register online at: Ultrasignup Pleasant Creek Trail Run. On line registration closes for all events Friday, September 8th, 2023 at noon (11:59am).

THERE IS NO DAY OF REGISTRATION!

Shirts can be purchased for $15 add-on and are only guaranteed for size through September 1st. Other optional add-ons available during checkout include a crewneck sweatshirt and running trucker hat.

****No bib transfers or refunds****

If you move down in distance, there are no refunds. You can increase your distance at any time prior to race day (on-line through UltraSignUp).

****In the rare chance that we’re unable to hold the event, there are no guaranteed refunds (the race directors will assess based on the circumstances).

Packet Pickup

Friday, September 8th 5-8 PM @ TBD.

Early pickup is encouraged to avoid race day congestion. Timing chip must be picked up on race morning at the start/finish area prior to the event start.

Race day packet pickup is available from 6:30 – 7:30 AM at the start/finish area.
