The ASICS Gel-Kayano 31 is a stability shoe for runners who want steady support on their everyday miles. If your feet roll in as you land, or you get tired on longer runs and want the shoe to help hold your stride together, the Kayano was made for that.
The ride. A high level of cushioning with a 10 mm heel-to-toe drop. The drop is on the traditional side, so it's easy on the calves and Achilles, and it feels familiar if you're coming from other classic trainers.
The build. The midsole is FF Blast Plus ECO foam with PureGEL cushioning. On top is an engineered mesh upper. It's a road shoe, so it belongs on pavement, paths and the treadmill.
The fit. This one is in 2E (Wide). Unsure about size or support? Come in for a free fitting at any of our seven Iowa stores. We scan your foot and arch and film you running in slow motion, so you leave in the right shoe.
