The 10th Greater Omaha Chapter (GOC) of AFCEA Steps for STEM 5K is designed to be an uplifting, family-oriented, community event, benefiting the GOC’s STEM Scholarship and Grant Fund.  Our chapter has about 250 members and serves the Greater Omaha Metropolitan Area to include Offutt Air Force Base and part of Western Iowa.  This race will be timed by Precision Race Results.  For more information, please visit the chapter website… www.omaha.afceachapters.org. Join us, participants and spectators alike, on this promising May morning to take part in this run/walk!  All events will take place at scenic Walnut Creek Lake in Papillion Nebraska with both the start and finish lines just off the circle on Gold Coast Road.

Period 1 (7 Nov 25 through 14 Dec 25):     $25.00
Period 2 (15 Dec 25 through 14 Jan 26):     $30.00
Period 3 (15 Jan 26 through 14 Feb 26):     $35.00
Period 4 (15 Feb 26 through 15 Apr 26):     $40.00
Period 5 (16 Apr 26 through 7 May 26):     $45.00

Event Details and Schedule
– The event will be held rain or shine and no refunds of entry will be given.
– Runners and walkers will receive a race day T-shirt and race bib to wear while running or walking the track. 
– M2ti partnering with Greater Omaha Chapter to provide awards for top finishers.  The top overall 5K runners male and female who finish in first place will each receive a $100 gift card.  We will also provide medals for top male/female finishers based on a variety of age groups (overall top male and female winners excluded from age groups).   
– Race day is Saturday, 9 May 26. Participants can arrive by 7:30am, 8:30am at the latest to check-in.
– The race will begin at 9:00am at the Gold Coast Road entrance to Walnut Creek.
– There will be FREE parking for all participants.
– No bicycles, skates, or skateboards are allowed.
– Shirts are not guaranteed for participants who register after Friday, April 17th. There are no refunds of entry given or transfers of entry permitted for this event.
