Running Buddy packet pick-up will be held from 4-7 PM at the Walnut Creek Y on Friday, May 20 or prior to the start of the 5K on Saturday, May 21 starting at 8:00 AM. Please note that girls will receive their race day materials from their coach on Saturday. Coaches and girls do not need to attend packet pick-up.
WHERE DO I MEET MY TEAM?
GOTR Girls, running buddies and coaches should meet their team at their designated team flag! Flags will be on the west side of the capitol.
START TIME
Teams/waves will start on the 5K course at 10 AM. This is a non-competative 5K. There is no official timing.
WILL THE 5K EVENT BE CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER?
Please be prepared for all weather conditions on race day. The 5K celebration will still occur rain (wind) or shine. If in the chance of any serious inclement weather, we will contact sites regarding any possible delays or cancellations.
CAN I BRING MY DOG OR PET?
Yes, we ask that they remain on a leash and if participating in the 5K you start toward the back of your wave.
RUNNING BUDDIES
Running Buddies must be at least 16 years old and able to keep the pace of the GOTR participant. Running Buddies must pre-register online prior to May 21.
POST-RACE FOOD AND WATER
Individually packed snack bars, bananas, and bottled water will be available for participants after the race. We ask that participants move quickly through the finish line area, maintaining social distancing from others.
