The Donut Run 5K is the only race around where you are rewarded for eating doughnuts! This annual event will occur on April 23rd, 2022 this year at Ada Hayden Heritage Park in Ames, IA.
Each donut you eat at the Donut Run 5k aid stations takes additional time off of your finishing time. Careful though–we enforce the Chucky rule which states that anyone who loses his donuts before the finish line starts his or her count over at zero!
We award runners in the following categories: Best Run Time (Men & Women), Best Doughnut Adjusted Time (Men & Women), Most Doughnuts Eaten, Best Costume, and Top Team Score.
Parking will be available in the Brookside Park parking lot on a first come first serve basis. Some overflow parking will be available on side streets.
