Hi, my name is Grace McCunn and I am 16 years old.
I started raising money for Blank Children’s Hospital when I was in 5th grade. It all started when my sister, Sarah and I were both diagnosed with Chronic Daily Migraines. We both struggled. I have had to go to the hospital/emergency room 3 to 4 times and Sarah spent many weeks in the hospital. It is hard seeing other patients still in the hospital while you are leaving. That’s why I decided to raise money. I started selling lemonade to raise money.
At first, I didn’t think I would be successful selling lemonade. My first goal was $1,000, which I thought I would never reach – but I did. My second goal was $5,000, which I hit, and then one of the biggest goals I reached was $15,000. Last with your help we raised over $30,000 which was awesome. So far, we have raised over $109,000 to support and help Blank Children’s Hospital. With your help and the help of all my friends we will continue to provide support for the children at Blank Children’s Hospital.
Your support of the Blank Children’s Hospital is greatly appreciated. This year all the money will be donated to the Blank Children’s Hospital for programs in need such as the Pediatrics Oncology Department. This is a wonderful hospital, and I would really appreciate your support this year, so please have your family and friends sign up and run or walk.
