Race Results

Join us for our 14th Annual Trestle Hustle hosted by the Boone County Hospital Foundation. For the 2023 event, we are offering an in-person event and a virtual option.

All abilities are welcome, ages 14 and over. Athlete gets to choose to complete a Duathlon (2-mile run, 13-mile bike, 2-mile run) OR a 5K OR 10K run on Saturday, June 17, beginning at 8:00 AM at the Madrid High Trestle Trail Head located just east of the Flat Tire Lounge (304 S Madison St. Madrid, IA).
Our races will be chip timed by True Time Racing Services. Age categories will be: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Please Note: if you want to run over the High Trestle Trail Bridge, the 10K is the only race to cross the bridge.

Earlybird pricing is available through May 6
$40 – 5K/10K
$50 – DUATHLON

After May 6, pricing increases
$50 – 5K/10K
$60 – DUATHLON

Virtual athletes will complete the race anytime between June 16-18.

Packet pick-up will be available as a “drive-thru” at Boone County Hospital on Friday, June 16, from 4 – 6 pm. If this time does not work for you, please contact us to make other arrangements. Packets will be available the morning of the race, but we highly encourage athletes to pick up before the race day if possible.

Day of:
Staff will provide hand sanitizer, fresh wipes, trash cans and bags, and other necessary cleaning supplies. There will be two handwashing stations provided and two portable toilets.

VIRTUAL PARTICIPANTS CAN SUBMIT TIME ANY TIME BETWEEN JUNE 16-18
To enter a virtual race time
1. Go to the link (emailed to you)
2. Search for your name and click the “Submit Virtual Time” link next to your name
3. Enter your total running time and Date of Birth (to verify it is you)
3a.  Optional: submit a STRAVA, Garmin, Fitbit link from your run
4. Click the submit button

After following these steps, your running time will be displayed on the results page.
The age group and overall placing will be updated daily during the results submission period.

Food and Awards
We will provide “grab and go” foods such as granola bars and bottled water.

All participants will receive a Finisher’s Medal upon completion of the race.
We will also award both male and female 1st, 2nd & 3rd places in each event and age category for the in-person event.
Virtual participants will be mailed a finisher’s medal the week of June 19, 2023.
