Race Results

The Sparkle Run is a 5k run & walk. It’s a fun way to get together with family & friends and partake in a wonderful cause that has raised money for various charities and projects around Iowa. The event takes place at the DMACC Ankeny Campus with various activities taking place before the run. You can also volunteer for free if you want to help The Sparkle Run truly sparkle! All of the proceeds raised go towards causes that help change lives and give hope to surrounding communities.

The Sparkle Run was founded as a way to remember Erin Moomey, a girl who’s life was cut short by Leukemia in 2013. After Erin’s passing the idea for The Sparkle Run came about and raised over $30,000 in it’s first year. Through it’s success this amazing 5K walk & run ensured that Erin’s life would always be remembered and in her rememberence many lives would be changed for better.

Your participation in The Sparkle Run gives us the ability to continue changing lives. Whether it be donating to local communities, foundations, or other wonderful causes our proceeds always go towards making the world a better place in Erin’s honor. Having the ability to change lives while keeping Erin’s memory alive is why we’re here and what truly makes us sparkle!
