Come join us for the Geode Challenge Races Saturday October 21st at the beach area in beautiful Geode State Park!

We started this race in 2018 as a fundraiser for renovating the beach house at Geode State Park. Work is actively being done to the beach house and we’re all excited about that project! Once that’s finished, we’ll continue putting fundraising efforts into more projects right here in the park!

 The trails are so beautiful, we’d love to share them with you so come out and run or walk our event! Or, come out and cheer on the runners!

​This event is also Dog friendly! If you prefer to run with your dog, just keep the leash short enough to not cause harm to anyone else running, considering there’s a lot of single track on the trail.

 We offer a 5k out-and-back, a 12k single perimeter loop, and new this year – a 2 loop option for a 25k distance!  We will have 2 aid stations set up on the course, as well as water at the start/finish area at the beach. Shelter 4 and shelter 1 will have a few light snacks and water.

Registration cost is $35 for the 5k, $40 for the 12k and $45 for the 25k. The race start/finish (and parking) will be down at the beach shelter area. Your registration includes a t-shirt. Check-in morning of the race will be 7:30-8:45am. Start time is 9am.

Please come out to enjoy a cool crisp fall morning, run on our beautiful trails and take in all the colors of the changing leaves! The event is hosted by the Friends of Geode and sponsored by the Danville Lions Club.
