62nd Annual Turkey Trot - Camp Dodge

About this race

Celebrate Thanksgiving morning at the 62nd Annual Turkey Trot— Iowa’s Oldest Road Race. This long-standing community tradition brings together runners, walkers, families, and friends for a fun and meaningful start to the holiday.

Choose from a 5-mile run, 2-mile run, or 2-mile walk and enjoy a welcoming event suitable for participants of varying ages and fitness levels. Participants can take part in a Thanksgiving Day tradition, receive the commemorative 62nd Annual event shirt, and still have plenty of time to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends.

Join us on Thursday, November 26, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at the Camp Dodge Pool Pavilion in Johnston, Iowa. Please enter through the 70th Avenue South Gate.

Come run, walk, give thanks, and continue a tradition that has brought the community together for more than six decades.
