Race Results

The 10th Annual Story County Freedom Run is the second official event of the RUN Nevada Race Series 2023. This year’s run includes a 5k and 10k option, and will start and finish at the east end of SCORE Park in Nevada, near the swimming pool and high school baseball field. 

5k registration costs $30 and 10k is $40 through May 26 and will increase to $35 and $40  May 27. All participants must register by Friday, June 23 at 5pm. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. Over the last decade, the Freedom Run has raised over $30,000 for local veterans.

Participants receive a race t-shirt (while supplies last), finisher medal courtesy of ALMACO, and pancake breakfast. NEW for 2023, childrens’ t-shirt sizes are available!

June 24, 2023 Schedule of Events:
7:30am: Packet pick-up begins at SCORE Park (1545 Fawcett Pkwy, Nevada, IA)
8:00am: 10k begins
8:30am: 5k begins
Immediately following the races: Medals presented to the top race finishers plus a pancake breakfast provided by Farmhouse Catering
