The Wild Boar Challenge for Charity benefits Wildwood Hills Ranch, which provides life-changing educational programming, leadership development and equine therapy to vulnerable youth right here in Iowa. The CBC Foundation supports smaller Iowa charities that are devoted to making the lives of underprivileged youth better, and has had a long-term relationship with Wildwood Hills Ranch. The Wild Boar Challenge is an off-road obstacle course designed in partnership with Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping to push participants through a series of challenges that test both their speed and agility as they navigate through the course. This is a local, non-profit event run by a local organization, and the funds that are raised stay in central Iowa. The event is hosted by the CBC Foundation and attracts a wide range of participants from all over the midwest with different skills and abilities.

We’re continually working to enhance our 5+ mile course at Wildwood Hills Ranch that features a number of difficult and exciting obstacles that participants will have to navigate (hay bales, mud, barbed wire, etc.) in some of the most beautiful and hilly terrain in Iowa. Past obstacles have included the Pig Prod, Big Bad Wolf, Saucy Sow and the Drill Sergeant.

Founded in 1987, the Contributors Breakfast Club (CBC) is an organization focused on charitable work. In 2003, the CBC Foundation was created to formalize the charitable aspect and has raised over $1,000,000 for central Iowa charities. This charitable endowment is a donor-advised fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines.

Music, food and beverages will be provided at the post-event festivities (ID required for alcohol). The Wild Boar Challenge is an all volunteer, non-profit race, and all of the post race food and beverages are offered free of charge thanks to our great sponsors!
