Annual Trail Run May 12 & 13, 2023

Friends of Yellow River State Forest will be holding their fourth annual 5K and 10K trail run/walk and half-marathon on Saturday, May 13, in the state forest starting at 8 a.m. Again this year there will be an additional 5K on family-friendly, fast and flat Friday night, May 12.

Participants can register until the day of the event but must sign up BEFORE April 21 to receive A SHIRT! Registrations after April 21 will not receive a shirt.

Prices will increase after April 1. These prices are for all registrations that take place before April 1.

Friday, May 12, registration 5:30 p.m., 5K at 6:30 p.m. Cost $40
Saturday, May 13, registration 7:00 a.m., 5K at 8:10 a.m. Cost $40
Saturday, May 13, registration 7:00 a.m., 10K at 8 a.m. Cost $50
Saturday, May 13, registration 6:30 a.m., half-marathon 7 a.m.  Cost $60

There is also a special offer this year, the “Dirty Double”
Friday night run plus 5K on Saturday cost $70
Friday night run plus 10K on Saturday cost $75
Friday night run plus half-marathon on Saturday cost $80

All ages are welcome, children must be accompanied by a registered adult. The Friday night 5K will be family-friendly, but there will be some steps so strollers are not recommended. Well-behaved dogs on a leash are allowed.
Registration will take place at 737 State Forest Rd, Harpers Ferry IA.

Friends of Yellow River State Forest is a 501 c3, not-for-profit organization. The mission of the group is to enhance Yellow River State Forest for public use  while protecting the integrity of the flora, fauna, soil and water. All funds raised by the Friends group are invested back into the state forest.
