The Story County Freedom Run is the second official event of the RUN Nevada Race Series. Since 2015, the Freedom Run has raised over $37,000 for local veterans. This year’s run includes a 5k and 10k option, and will start and finish near the Pavilion at SCORE Park.
Earlybird 5k registration costs $35 through June 6, then increases to $40. The 10k is $45 through June 6, then will increase to $50. All participants must register by June 20 at 5pm. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. Earlybird registrants receive a race t-shirt. All participants receive a finisher medal courtesy of ALMACO and breakfast refreshments provided by the American Legion.
June 21, 2025 Schedule of Events:
7:30am: Packet pick-up begins at SCORE Park (1545 Fawcett Pkwy, Nevada, IA)
8:20am: 10k begins
8:30am: 5k begins
Immediately following the races: Medals presented to the top race finishers plus breakfast refreshments.
