The Cinco de Mayo 5K, the largest Cinco 5K in Iowa, is presented by Ganzo’s Mexican Restaurant. Much like our annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, we started the Cinco 5K (previously known as Nacho Ordinary 5K) to help spread the celebration of Cinco de Mayo throughout the Quad Cities. This year will be our 10th annual Cinco 5K, and we are excited for what’s to come!
Every year we try and make the race better, and this year is no exception. We are continuing to build upon our course which has received great feedback from previous year’s participants. This year, we are also continuing to use the top-of-the-line disposable chip system, and much more. We are continuing our commitment to improving the experience for all our participants, whether they are racing or walking.
After the race, join us for a great after-race party where we will award those who placed in their division, as well as those who had the best costume. It is a family-friendly environment complete with bounce houses, face-painting and more. Then, stay for one of the largest Cinco de Mayo fiestas in the Midwest! (You might want to leave the kids at home for this one.)
The Quad Cities Autism Center is the official charity partner of the 2021 Cinco de Mayo 5K. Since 2006, the QC Autism Center has provided education, guidance, and resources to persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and their parents, caregivers, and professionals. For more information on our charity partner, visit our charity page.
Thank you for celebrating Cinco with us and giving us the opportunity to bring Mexican heritage to the Quad Cities. We hope we see you this year for our tenth annual Cinco de Mayo 5K and our annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta on May 7, 2022.
